Hiiiii

Caroline here again, with a layout this time….

hills-1

I decided not to use my Silhouette Cameo and instead just grabbed my scissors and some of the beautiful papers from the kit, mixed in with plain white cardstock.

I wanted a strip down the middle of the layout so cut large strips of the paper and card to 8″ wide, then just cut wavy ‘hills’ into each sheet, popping white in between each layer so the patterned paper would stand out more.

On each layer I added some hand stitching – on the plain white card I started and finished my stitching from the front so that I could leave little tufts of thread, just to make it a little more whimsical.

Next I popped a layer of pop dots along the back but only at the top of each layer. I then added glue to the bottom, flipped it over and stuck it down. I didn’t measure anything other than the width.

Once my hills were spaced out and stuck down I fussy cut the little trees and houses. Oh and the birds – can’t forget those cuties. I also added pop dots to the trees and houses and spaced them out.

On either side of the hills I added a snowflake (chopped in half) tucked in some pink thread and finished the clusters with a chipboard gold star.

Last up was to layer my photograph on patterned paper and then add the ADORABLE stag and polar bear, a flair button and some word stickers.

I just loved making this layout. It’s full of interest and dimension. YAY!

I hope you enjoyed taking a look and that it inspires you to have a go.

‘Til next time
