Hello everyone. I’m back to share my second layout with the ‘Stargazer’ Kit.

As soon as I received this month’s Kit I knew exactly what to do with the make up elements within the die cut pack. My 6 year old daughter is make up mad. She has also recently taken part in her first ballet show and the dance teacher stipulated mascara and lipstick to be worn. My daughter was so excited!

I decided that this one had to include some stitching so I used my Silhouette Cameo to create tiny holes to stitch through.  I used a star shape and just resized it until I had 5 concentric stars. A star layout for my daughter who was a star in the show!!

I then visited my local sewing shop and chose embroidery threads (gold, pink, navy, pale pink and pale turquoise) to match the colours in the Stargazer Kit. Then the stitching began. It did take some time but I’m really happy with how it turned out.

The photos are of my eldest at her first ballet show make up applied and hair in a bun. I’m not that good at putting mascara on myself let alone anyone else so my husband applied her mascara! He did a great job so this is the story I wanted to tell. I printed the same photo twice in black and white on my Canon Selphy.

The WRMK Urban Chic stickers and ephemera went perfectly with the story. I created three embellishment  clusters around the photo and journaled on the left of the star. To finish the layout I added some gold star rub ons.

SUPPLIES USED:
Stargazer Kit | WRMK Urban Chic Stickers | Pink Paislee Luxe Rub ons | Embroidery Silks
