Hey guys. So who here loves Project Life? I have to say that in the world of scrapbooking, Project Life is my one true love. I always really enjoy doing 12 x 12 layouts and a daily planner, but I feel the most creative when I’m using a pocket system. As with everything else, I always incorporate part like for ever kit and part handmade items.
My most recent Project Life is a two page spread of my daughter Bronte’s birthday. As you have probably guessed her favourite colour is PINK. I wanted to have one large photo to work from so filled in four of the 3 x 4 pockets to make one 6 x 8 sized photo. There are loads of fun little details like using the Dear Lizzy Saturday Stamp set to show Brontes age and using a cut file from the Silhouette Design Shop with some added pink dashes to give it some depth. I used a stencil and some texture paste to create the cupcake card and made a little baggy out of tulle to hold the sequins we decorated the birthday table with.
One of my favourite pockets has to be the one holding the birthday crown. She felt like such a princess on her special day. I used a couple of journal cards that came with the kit and added some embellishments along with some sewing around the edges. The last pocket I filled has a birthday napkin with the word SPARKLE on it. I really love the way it turned out and, most importantly, so does Bronte. She asked me two days after her party when her next birthday was!
Thanks for stopping in.
