Hi everybody
Here I am, with an unusual page. Indeed, I used to resort to journaling a lot a few years ago then I almost completely stopped since my scrap has evolved and led me to other creative horizons and focus. However, a few weeks ago when re-decorating my scraproom, I re-discovered my old albums. The ones when I cherished writing journaling. That’s when I realized I had forgotten almost every little anecdote my pages were about! How grateful I was to be reminded of those little precious moments!
It made me ponder about re-using journaling. Plus I needed to put words on my creative process. That’s how this page was born….
The problem with journaling, is that it tells everyone about your most intimate and inner feelings. You can hide it, of course, but this was not what I felt like doing for this page. So I used another and more surprising technique. I wrote it in English instead of French. Of course, for those whose native language is English, that trick doesn’t work but at least it protects me behind a language barrier, since I’m the most secretive with the people who are the closest to me. Scrapbooking and the English language are my personal secret world.
I first created the text on the computer and printed it on a separate piece of paper. I used a patterned paper to separate it from the original 12×12 white paper. Of course, the Dreams are for Chasing tag totally matches the text, and I used it as the title for my page. Then I splattered some ink and decorated the page using different types of embellishments.
I really enjoyed making this page and writing this text! What about you? Do you use journaling a lot?
