Hello there friends. Happy Spring to you all. I don’t know about you but I am so ready for the changing of the seasons and for the sun to be out more. Today I have a layout to share with you using the Keepsake Kit. I tried to keep this very simple as I wanted the photo to stand out the most. As I was using a black and white photo I wanted everything else to be quite muted.
I started by picking out some of the softer elements in the ephemera pack then moved on to some stamping. I used the flower stamps by Heidi Swapp on a piece of patterned paper and cut them out. I made three tags to place behind my photo and jazzed them up a bit with gold hole reinforcement stickers and some embroidery thread.
I created some definition between the top and bottom of the layout by using the Maggie Holmes acetate sheet. I grabbed a button from my stash and added a little bow on top. After I’d placed everything down where I wanted it to go I finished with some hand stitching and some machine stitching.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a few moments to read through my process. Until next time…
Take care.
Tammy
