Hello there crafty friends. I’m so excited to share my latest project with you. As the weather here in the UK has been so rainy and dreary I thought I would cheer myself up with a very pink layout. There is nothing like happy colours to set your soul to rights.
Before I even started picking out my bits and pieces I laid a quick layer of gesso down on the page because it takes a bit of time to dry. Once the gesso is almost dry, on goes a layer of pink paint and some pink texture paint I’d mixed. Out of the many fabulous cut files that are offered to kit subscribers I chose one designed by Laura Rumble titled ‘follow your dreams’. I love this cut file. Whilst I had my Silhouette out I also cut a vellum pocket envelope to back my photo with.
I made a tag with my paper trimmer and did some machine stitching on it. I used the Heidi Swapp stamp set included in the kit and stamped the word ‘treasure’ in Versa Mark then heat set some gold embossing powder. I did some fussy cutting of leaves and a bird for that touch of whimsy and added a bit of tulle (you can never go wrong with tulle). I get a big kick out of making planner and travelers notebook charms so I made a few for this layout. I usually try to stay away from too much dimension on things that go into my documenting album but I made an exception this time.
This layout well and truly brightened up my spirits. I hope you enjoyed yourself while you were here. Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time…
Take care.
Tammy
